The Refuge Inn was a perfect place for us to land for 3 days to enjoy the island and the ponies. The ponies were a highlight of being able to see them from our room in their pens . We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast each morning brought to our room. it would be nice to kind of change up the menu some mornings. We loved the friendliest of the staff and the cleaning crew. Did not use the pool or hot tub as we were out traveling during the day. The pool area was beautiful and clean. Ask for a ponie corral room

It is a treasure! I am so happy, that we decided to stay there. Very nice staff, answered all my questions and gave all the information. Love the balconies, view from our room, breakfast which they deliver to our door - it is amazing. Love the pool, sauna and hot tub. Only one thing was a little bit strange for me- no restroom near the pool. Our room was in the second floor, far away from the pool. Many thanks for only lady, who kindly opened for me the gym. Coffee was so tasty, I am surprised! The best coffee from the hotel I ever tried 🤩 Definitely will be back soon!

Absolutely wonderful! The staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are cozy and clean. They've thought of everything to make a stay really special. The breakfast delivery is a great touch and the serene setting can't be beat. It's like staying in your friend's guest cottage.

This is one of two hotels right before you hit the park so the location is great! There’s a McDonald’s walking distance as well as a souvenir store. Their ponies are cute and they offer food to feed them on these quarter dispensers so it’s great for kids. The rooms as well are pretty spacious and they offer access through the balcony to the outside! We were on the first level so we could go right to the cookout area or to the pool right by the back door! I would highly suggest to stay here. It is very lovely and quiet with much places to leisure after a long day at the beach. It is a prime location and relaxing.

I can't say enough good things about our recent stay, from the wonderful staff to the beautifully appointed room. Plus the close proximity to Assateague Island allowed us to enjoy it everyday on foot and by bike. It all contributed to a restful and leisurely vacation. We can't wait to go back.

I stayed here with my niece about a month ago and so happy this was the place I picked. I will definately be back. The staff was absolutely amazing. So friendly and welcoming. The room was so comfy and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the patio. Breakfast was delicious and so convenient. Also loved having coffee and tea only steps away whenever we wanted lol. The pool was beautiful. I also love that we are minutes from the beach and so many great places to eat and fun things to do. When we arrived my niece was so excited because she even couldn't believe how cute the place was and we loved the ponies. It was just such a great time.

We were only going to spend one night stop over since we were on a road trip but we loved the place so much we stayed a couple of days. The rooms feel more like a bedroom at home than a hotel. The staff at the front desk are super nice. A really great touch is you fill out a breakfast order each night and they bring it to your room the next morning included with the room.

So close to the park entrance and close to everything in town. They have ponies you can feed on property and bikes you can rent. The rooms are so clean and have a bed and breakfast feel. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast included. You …
